Not far from your church we took a photo of a statue of an angel. Frederico Severinos name was on the plaque on the stand. What is the significance of the statue and do you know what it is made of?

Justin and I were married in your church on 20th August 2008. It was an amazing experience and an absolutely stunning setting. Fr Simon was so helpful when we arrived the day before the wedding and the stress levels were through the roof : ) We will never forget your kindness and how at ease you all made us feel. It has been 18 months since then and I am pregnant with our first child due any day now. We are hoping our 1st holiday as a proper little family will be to Positano. thanks again!

We cannot compliment and thank everyone in Santa Maria Assunta Church for their assistance in preparing us for our marriage and also for everything going so smoothly on the day. Ho trascorso con la mia famiglia la Settimana Santa a Positano. I ricordi che conserviamo di questa breve vacanza non sono solo le bellezze artistiche e naturali del posto. Ho capito che andare in vacanza non è sfogliare dal vivo un catalogo di belle immagini. Abbiamo partecipato ai riti pasquali nelle vostra Parrocchia, abbiamo osservato con quanta fede e con quanta gioia la comunità di Positano ha conservato le proprie radici e le proprie tradizioni. Insieme al mare, ai colori, ai profumi ricordiamo la Messa di Pasqua, i canti, il rito della Lavanda dei Piedi,la gente che esce dalla Chiesa e riempie la piazza, una ragazza che a Nocelle scende di corsa le scale ma ha il tempo di fermarsi un attimo e fare il segno della Croce davanti alla Chiesa chiusa. Vi facciamo i nostri auguri affinché questa comunità conservi sempre, con le sue radici e le sue tradizioni, quell´unità spirituale che dà senso a ciò che già è bello e meno dure le difficoltà che spesso ci mettono alla prova. con cordialità famiglia Sbrana

We celebrated our wedding in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta on the 1st of September 2007, a day that we both look back on and cherish, you made our wedding day a relaxed, special and memorable occasion and for that we are very grateful. Thomas and I were married in St Peters Chapel, up on the cliffs over looking Positano and the beautiful coastline, on the 21st May 07. Everything about our wedding cermony was exactly what we had wished for. Sean and I were married in your magnificent church on the 2nd July 2008. It was everything we had dreamed of and more. Fr Simon and the rest of the staff made our day perfect in every way possible. Fr Simon made us feel so relaxed and even though we had 70 guests the ceremony was so special and intimate. We will remember the day forever and Italy, especially Positano will always have a special place in our hearts. We´d like to thank Father Giulio and Father Andrew who presided over our wedding in St Caterina on October 4th 08. They were so welcoming and warm hearted towards us when they hadn´t met us before and made our wedding a wonderful experience. We couldn´t have chosen a more beautiful place or met nicer people for our big day. We can´t wait to come back!

We had a beautiful wedding in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in June 2008. Fr. Simon and Fr.Giulio Caldiero were very helpful and made our day very special.

The church is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures, we had a truly wonderful day. Hope to return for anniversary in July. We would like to thank the priests for their exremely generous welcome and assistance for our wedding day.

Fr Simon really helped us be relaxed on a most nervous day. Beautiful church and weather. Dream wedding. We will be revisiting this church as soon as we can. Thank you Fr Simon for giving us a stress free day. I don´t think stress exists in Positano. :)

Obviously a beautiful location but made so personal by Fr.Simon agreeing to my brother playing guitar and our little daughter reading a poem at our ceremony.An incredible walk down the winding streets to the church also.Unforgettable.

Mark & I got married here on 24 July 2007 and it was the most amazing day that we will never forget. We are expecting a new addition to our family in Feb so exciting times ahead!

Albert and I were married on 14th September 2007 in chapel of Santa Rosario by Fr Abraham. Truly it was the most magical day and we could not have wished for more. All the staff and clergy were amazing and really went out of their way to make our day so special. Our memories will always be in our hearts. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone and cannot wait to return to Italy in the future. On another special note our own little bambino is due on 1st February and it will make it so much more special returning with them to Positano.

Paul and I were married by Father Simon on October 6th, 2007, In Positano at the small chapel of Saint Rosario in the ceneter of town. We had the most wonderful experience with the church and espicially with the staff at the church. They helped us put together the pieces that were very difficult with our language barrier, and even in the last minute put together a program and printed it for us for the ceremony. Positano, Italy is a magical place and I will hold the memory of my amazing wedding in my heart forever! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. Paul and I are happily married and just celebrated our 1st year anniversary..we cannot wait to come back to Italy! Many, many thanks and peace and love be with you!
